Dr. Stefan Kreuzer
A native of Switzerland, Stefan Kreuzer moved to the United States in 1983. He graduated from medical school at the University of Texas in San Antonio in 1995.

He went to Galveston for his orthopedic residency and completed a Fellowship in Joint Reconstruction at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2001. While at Baylor, he focused on hip and knee replacement, and joint replacement revision surgery.

He is now in private practice focusing on adult joint reconstruction at Memorial Bone and Joint. Dr. Kreuzer is one of only two doctors in Houston currently certified to perform knee surgery using a new minimally invasive device called the UniSpacer.™

He has received many awards and honors including:

  • Robert K. and Marie B. Hutchings Scholarship Endowment for Academic Excellence in Orthopaedics in June 2000
  • “Best 3 Paper Award” at the Houston Orthopaedics Society in 1999
  • Golden Bone Award in 1998 for his work as a resident

Dr. Kreuzer also has a special interest in sports medicine. He played four years of collegiate tennis, ranking in the top 16 in NAIA in the US. He also had a brief professional tennis career on the Satellite circuit in Europe.

At Memorial Bone and Joint, Dr. Kreuzer provides state-of-the-art treatment for a variety of orthopedic problems. He is a member of AMA, TMA, and AAOS. He is an accomplished researcher and writer about orthopedic issues and has a variety of published works.
